- "...one heart, one love,
one life ..."
CARÒ started to play the guitar at the age of four. Later in childhood and during adolescence CARÓ completed eight years at the local music school in Stralsund , her home in the very north of Germany , entertaining her instructors and falling in love with the music over and over again.
After 6 years CARO' graduate her final examination for classical guitar.
CARÓ wrote her first songs at the age of nine. Two of the three songs from her debut single, “Ordinary World” and “It's Time” (the third song being “The Greatest Love”), she composed at the tender age of sixteen.
As can be taken from her childhood connection with music, the singer, already at an early stage, tried various styles of music and cut her path with different bands finally founding her first band, “Last Minute”, in February 1993.
When the band members parted again in 1997, CARÓ moved to Berlin and started to work on her first Maxi CD in cooperation with the bass singer and producer of the “Silly” band founders, Matthias “Matze” Schramm. Towards the end of 1999, her first solo single “Ordinary World” was finally released and sold in Germany .
In the following years CARÓ worked and produced in Italy among the other things.
In 1999 CARÒ started her first international tour including successful concerts in Italy and Germany. Here CARÓ had the chance of meeting two great Italian musicians (the band Bambini Latini, Massimo Coppola – guitar and Egidio Stigliano –drums / percussion) who later on accompanied her on her tours through Germany and Italy .
In the same year, too, CARÓ performed on stage among artists such as “Echt”, Paul Young, Jimmy Sommerville, Alphaville, Nick Kershaw in front of an audience of up to more than 15,000 people. The audience was thrilled.
CARÓ's start into the new millennium was exciting as it offered a unique chance: While working as a singer, musician and songwriter, CARÓ happened to meet two New York producers who, amazed by her performances and moved by her songs, invited her to work and produce her music in the vibrating US American city. In 2000, CARÓ thus moved to New York City and delved into its rich music scene and life style. In between this time she came back to Germany for national and international concerts. After her New York experience, CARÓ returned to Berlin in 2001 where she has been inspiring and moving her listeners and fans ever since.
In April 2002, the musician appeared on stage together with the band “City” joining City's anniversary tour throughout Germany (Tempodrom in Berlin - twice sold out) later that year.
In 2003, the singer was asked to support a fundraising campaign initiated by the umbrella organization of the German Chimney Sweepers . Her song “It's Time” has become the motto song of this campaign and is also available as a single in music stores across Germany . The earned commissions have been donated to the initiative “Help for Ethopia”, established by Karlheinz Böhm. ( www.menschenfuermenschen.de )
In 2004, CARÓ was asked to join the Kelly Family on their tour across Europe . While performing, CARÓ impressed the band so much that Maite Kelly asked the singer to support and present her solo project as a guitarist and backing vocals. The result of this energetic musical encounter was a very successful tour through Germany , Austria and the Netherlands with which CARÓ and Maite were supporting a project in Togo/Africa. The earned commissions of their tour were donated to help building a university in Togo/Africa ( www.stjeantogo.fr.st ).
For 7 years CARÓ sings and supported the relief organization of her hometown to help people who came down with Aids. Every year the Chamaeleon association presents a big benefit gala which is sold out again and again. We hope the interest of the people for the theme "Aids" gains (www.chamaeleon-stralsund.de)
In February 2005, CARÓ published her first complete album “Someday”. On the album thirteen songs, among them partly unplugged versions, ballads or beautifully rocking pieces, are waiting to seduce and entertain their listeners. The album has been available for sale in music stores across Germany since February 23 rd and can also be purchased online ( see "musik" , www.pool-musik.com , www.amazon.de )
